CONWY WALK & RUN

For those looking for a day's hiking or a long run, this section is for you. All these routes are over 9 miles and cover both mountains and coast. Remember for the longer outings, particularly those which go higher up, to plan accordingly. The going can be tough and take far longer than expected. Err on the side of caution in respect to food, clothing and navigation.
Long walks and runs (9+ miles)
A super trail run or a long hike. Despite containing substantial amount of ascent, none of it is particularly technical which makes for great running, especially the descent to Conwy. Large proportion of the route is on the fells with views for miles around.
A tough 12.4 mile loop that takes in the rugged summit of Tal y Fan. This features a fun scrambly section along the rock summit section (easily avoided). Stunning views across to the high Carneddau and across to Anglesey and also North Wales/ England

A treat for the road runners! Voted in the top 5 most scenic Half Marathons in the UK by readers of Runners World. A stunning road run around the cliff road on Great Orme. A hiking alternative is included to avoid the roads to Llandudno.

A challenging circuit that takes in the summit of Y Foel Lus. Foel Lus treats you to extraordinary views across the sea and Snowdonia. Return via the beautiful fairy glen before heading back up over Conwy Mountain to return to Conwy.
